HoneyPot Furniture
Developing and optimising established ecommerce stores through custom integrations, analytics, customer-flow improvements, reusable frontend components, reliable production delivery, and technical leadership.
Overview
From December 2022 to February 2026, I worked as Senior Full Stack Developer at HoneyPot Furniture. I contributed across the company’s established Shopify+ and BigCommerce ecommerce stores, combining hands-on development with stakeholder collaboration, production support, mentoring, line management, and training. The role ended due to company redundancy.
Problem
Live ecommerce stores require continuous development beyond their core platforms: integrations must exchange data reliably, analytics must capture meaningful customer actions, checkout and cart journeys need careful modification, and new frontend work must fit existing systems without disrupting trading.
Solution
I developed and optimised ecommerce systems across both platforms, building custom apps, private integrations, API and webhook workflows, reusable frontend components, and analytics implementations. I also managed deployments, investigated production issues, and worked directly with stakeholders to scope and deliver technical solutions.
Key Features
- Development and optimisation across established Shopify+ and BigCommerce stores
- Custom apps and private ecommerce integrations
- REST API, GraphQL API, and webhook-driven workflows
- GA4 and GTM implementations with custom event tracking
- Checkout, cart, and customer-flow modifications
- Reusable React and Preact components and frontend integrations
- Next.js and headless-commerce development
- Liquid, Stencil, and Handlebars template development
- CI/CD workflows, deployment management, and production troubleshooting
- Stakeholder collaboration, mentoring, line management, and training

- React, Preact, TypeScript, JavaScript, and SCSS supported reusable customer-facing components
- Next.js and headless-commerce patterns supported decoupled frontend experiences
- PHP, MySQL, Node.js, and NPM supported custom apps, integrations, and development tooling
- REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, and webhooks connected ecommerce platforms with supporting services
- GA4, GTM, and custom events provided analytics and customer-journey tracking
- Git and CI/CD workflows supported controlled deployment and ongoing production delivery
Project Evidence
To respect commercial confidentiality, this case study uses delivery evidence rather than internal screenshots or links to the live stores. The cards below summarise the areas of work completed during the role without exposing private implementation details.
